The Cue Club

Priding itself as “the first true billiards club in general Kentucky,” The Cue Club is definitely a place not to miss if pool is your game. The club is conveniently located and is a popular recreational hotspot for all. Its family-friendly environment means you’ll want to bring your kids with you.

You can rent a premium pool table by the hour for $7 per player, with discounts for women and juniors. If you feel like putting your skills to the test, you can join one of their pool leagues. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced player looking to compete, they’ll have a league that suits your needs. You can even sign up for one of their weekly tournaments, including 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball, and banks in singles or team formats.

If you’re feeling hungry, the Cue Club offers assorted small bites, snacks, tacos, sandwiches, salads, and ice cream. Enjoy a drink from the full-service bar, and help yourself to a range of non-alcoholic drinks or coffee. Share your choice of music with everyone on the in-house jukebox, or leave it up to someone else to decide.

With TV, a reasonably priced full bar, and a patio, it’s a great spot to hang out even if you’re not up for playing pool. The grill offers a range of pizzas to snack on while playing. If you’re up for a challenge, then you can join one of their leagues.

Yesterday’s Billiards

With 18 tables, shuffleboard, and a full-service bar and kitchen, Yesterday’s Billiards is by far one of Lexington’s best pool halls. You’ll need to be at least 21 years old to enter and enjoy games, food, good company, and have a fun night out. Parking can sometimes be difficult in this area, but be sure to take advantage of the free parking in the lot on High Street if available.

Most of the pool tables can be rented by the hour and some can be rented per quarter hour if you don’t want to shoot for too long. They have an excellent range of beer and liquor options available from the full-service bar. There is also a variety of delicious pub food available for you if you get hungry between games (their wings are some of the best in town). If you happen to be there in the week, you’ll want to make the most of their weekday specials.

Rose & Jim’s Bar & Grill

Rose & Jim’s Bar & Grill is a family-owned bar that has been operating for 35 years and is perched on a hill just off Georgetown Road. Its laid-back atmosphere makes it an ideal place to go if you’re up for a game of pool with some food and drink. You can even try your hand at cornhole or hop behind the microphone for some karaoke.

If you’re hungry, you can grab a cheeseburger, pork tenderloin sandwich, club sandwich, or chicken quesadilla from the menu and enjoy it on the large outdoor patio. If you like your beer, you’ll definitely want to get a couple of bottles of Budweiser for only $2 each.

Tipsy Cow Bar

The Tipsy Cow Bar is central Kentucky’s newest and hottest bar and live music venue that should be on your list to visit. They have some of the best live music, cornhole, dartboards, and pool tables in Georgetown. If that’s not enough, you can enjoy some karaoke or enter one of their singing or talent competitions.

They have a great selection of appetizers, or you could go for a beef cheese bacon burger, derby day hot brown, or cannonball cheeseburger for something more substantial. If you’re up for some dessert, try their Oreo brownie meltdown or ice cream sundae. You may need to pay a cover charge depending on the night, so it’s best to call ahead to check.
