A Brief Look at Chevy’s History

Chevrolet was founded in 1911, meaning it has well over 100 years of experience under its belt. Mr. William C. “Billy” Durant started the company with his Swiss race car driving buddy Louis Chevrolet, after whom the company is named. And that was before we even got to the Impala, which came out in 1958 and is one of the best-selling cars in history.

Chevrolet released the Silverado in 1999, launching what would be a truck that is now an intricate part of this country’s fabric.
