Chevy Vehicle

Buying a certified pre-owned vehicle is the best way to get a great deal on pricing without sacrificing quality. You get the best of both worlds with a certified pre-owned car because you pay less than the price of a new vehicle, but a pre-owned vehicle is meticulously inspected, detailed, and repaired to look and feel like new. Here at Dan Cummins Chevy Buick Georgetown, we are your pre-owned Chevy dealer in Lexington, and we proudly offer exceptional Chevy vehicles in our certified pre-owned lineup.

The Rigorous Process for Certification

Every vehicle we sell as certified pre-owned – or CPO – must pass a rigorous set of standards to be included in the program. It begins with ensuring the vehicle is from a recent model year and has low mileage, so you know a CPO Chevy will always be less than six years old and have fewer than 75,000 miles on the odometer. We also check for a clean title and put the vehicle through a complete 172-point inspection. When you buy a CPO you get a free CARFAX vehicle history report to certify your Chevy has a clean history. We also check for any recalls and take care of any repairs necessary to make every Chevy safe and in good working order.

After inspection and repairs, our CPO vehicles are all carefully detailed inside and out so that they look their best. Buyers who purchase a CPO model gain a number of advantages over buying a traditional used or new vehicle. A CPO Chevy usually costs thousands less than a new vehicle, depending on the year of the model, which saves you money. But similar to a new vehicle, you get an excellent factory warranty that covers the powertrain for six years or 100,000 miles and includes roadside assistance with courtesy transportation if your CPO is in the shop. This warranty is even transferable if you choose to sell your CPO before the warranty runs out. Bumper-to-bumper coverage is also included for 12 months or 12,000 miles, and you are entitled to two complimentary scheduled maintenance visits in the first two years or 24,000 miles.

Chevy CPO vehicles offer buyers even more benefits, including a free three-month trial of OnStar Safety and Security and Connected Services. These programs include remote services, which can be accessed through an app on your phone or through the OnStar connection in your Chevy. A three-month trial of SiriusXM satellite radio comes with the purchase of a CPO as well, so you can enjoy listening to all your favorite stations anywhere you go in the country. Once all is said and done, if you don’t love your Chevy CPO, you can exchange it at no cost if you bring it back within three days or before you drive 150 miles.

Top Five Chevy Models to Consider

#1 – Chevy Silverado

When you need a truck that can work hard and play hard, the Silverado is the perfect match. Trucks can be expensive new, especially when adding on options from the long list of features and packages available. Chevy trucks have been dependable and tough for decades, and the Silverado has been a reliable work truck for both light-duty and heavy-duty hauling and towing since it hit the market in 1999.

Recent model years have incorporated all the technologies, conveniences, and comforts often found in luxury vehicles. If you need to take long trips towing a trailer or heading to a job, you’ll have everything you need. Options like heated seats, leather upholstery, and auto-dimming rearview mirrors are all available in the Silverado. Features to make towing simpler and safer can also be found, with trailer sway control and hitch camera views. Numerous engine choices, cab sizes, and box sizes mean the Chevy Silverado has countless variants.

#2 – Camaro

Buying a CPO Chevy Camaro means you would only find the sixth and most recent generation, which was revealed for the Camaro’s 50th anniversary year. Launched in 2016, the sixth-generation Camaro was sold with a choice of four engines. The most powerful engine is the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 found under the hood of the Camaro ZL1. This specially tuned engine can make up to 650 horsepower, delivering a true race car experience for driving enthusiasts.

The technology of the sixth-generation Camaro included Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OnStar capability, and an eight-inch touchscreen for infotainment. Plush leather seats and a premium Bose sound system are options that take this classic car into the modern age while still holding onto those classic muscle car vibes. Performance-oriented options like Brembo brakes, a sport-tuned suspension, and a dual exhaust system can be found on upper trims, and the Camaro can be had as a coupe or convertible.

#3 – Tahoe

When you need a vehicle that seats nine, can tow a trailer, and offers a luxurious interior for ultimate comfort, the Chevy Tahoe is definitely for you. This large SUV features three rows of seating and a feature-laden interior with conveniences like an available rear-seat entertainment system and USB ports for charging in every row of seats. Available magnetic ride control gives the Tahoe’s ride quality the smoothness of a luxury vehicle in the cabin, and the EcoTec3 V8 engine in recent models is more fuel-efficient, so you spend less on gas.

The Tahoe comes standard with rear-wheel drive, and it can be optioned with all-wheel drive. Since 2017, Tahoe models came standard with Teen Driver and a Rear Seat Reminder as part of their safety features. Optional safety features like the safety alert seat, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, a head-up display, and forward collision alert were available in 2016 models. Fold-flat seating in the rear cargo area can be either manual or powered and expands to nearly 95 cubic feet.

#4 – Bolt EV

For drivers who prefer a fully electric vehicle, the Chevy Bolt EV went on sale starting in 2017 and had a driving range of approximately 238 miles. The driving range increased to 259 miles in 2020 models, and the battery can be fully recharged overnight using an easily installed Level 2 charger. The Bolt comes with a portable Level 1 charger that can be plugged into a standard household power outlet for simple recharging and extra peace of mind.

Even as a compact hatchback, the Bolt still has plenty of interior space to accommodate tall drivers in front and 16.9 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear. Features like a large 10.2-inch touchscreen make operating the infotainment a simple affair, while OnStar and a standard WiFi hotspot keep you connected anywhere you go. With a certified pre-owned Bolt EV, you can drive emissions-free and never visit a gas station again!

#5 – Equinox

The Chevy Equinox is considered a compact SUV, but it won’t feel compact on the inside. This comfortable vehicle is highly rated by parents as a family-friendly option with standard safety features like the Rear Seat Reminder and Teen Driver in recent models. The Equinox also maintains a high rating for reliability and dependability from year to year. Both second and third generations could be found as CPO models, with the most recent generation introduced in 2018. A number of engine options have been available over the years, which included diesel and V6 options, though more recent years have turbocharged four-cylinder engines. All-wheel drive has been available across the lineup.

Light towing is possible with the Equinox, and it can be fitted with roof rails for extra cargo capacity when traveling with bikes, boats, or skis. Technology like Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system will be found in 2019 and newer models, while a touchscreen of seven inches or larger will be found in any CPO models. Safety tech like front pedestrian braking and adaptive cruise control are options for upper trims in recent years.
